On November 4th, 2018, Caleb Henderson & Carlie Klein were officially recognized as the new youth pastors at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church in Elgin, South Carolina. Read more to learn about the student ministry they will be starting!

Becoming youth pastors was never really a thought early on in Carlie and Caleb's relationship, but it was something God had planned for them many years ago.

In high school, Caleb was a stand-out offensive linemen for the varsity football team. In fact, Caleb was counting on football to pay for his college and maybe translate into his full-time career. However, God had different plans. How many of you know God's ways are better than our ways? Jeremiah 29:11 says "for I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you; to give you a future and a hope". Although Caleb didn't see it at the time, that's exactly what God was working on.

After graduating from high school, Caleb attended the University of South Carolina at Aiken to major in Business Administration. He figured that he'd have to support a family someday, so why not go into business and make money. Not long after starting his classes, he began to show more of an interest in music. So, Caleb switched his major to music. Surely he was headed in the right direction now! Not quite...

Upon completing his first year of college, something in Caleb just didn't feel right. He knew that God was stirring something more within his spirit. Over that summer between school semesters, Caleb felt like God was calling him into full-time ministry. So, just a mere few days before the start of the fall semester, Caleb was accepted and became enrolled at Holmes Bible College in Greenville, South Carolina.

Now a senior at Holmes Bible College, Caleb had drawn interests from a few other churches including ones out of Florida and North Carolina. After receiving an answered prayer from the Lord, Caleb humbly accepted the position of youth pastor at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church in Elgin, South Carolina. Today, Carlie and Caleb are both attending college, working as youth pastors, planning a wedding, and are actively involved in Wurth Ministries. Caleb asks for your continued prayer and support of him and Carlie during this season in their lives.
